New to Firearms

If you are a first time or inexperienced shooter, we will cover essential firearms safety and handling. I instruct using time tested techniques taught by the U.S. Marine Corps, and other federal agencies. Using this approach gives you a great foundation to build upon. From sight alignment/picture to grip and stance, I will teach you to evaluate your own shot pattern, so that in the future you can analyze and fix deficiencies on your own.

Seasoned Shooters

Experienced shooters will find that having someone analyze and instruct in a purely constructive and respectful manner will make the session enjoyable. While I love to shoot, the session is totally about you and refining your skill as a shooter.

Law Enforcement

Police officers and armed security guards carry one of the greatest burdens of any job, and that is carrying and potentially using a firearm at any time, during the course of their work day. For this reason, training in the fundamentals and learning the basic muscle memory it takes to place well aimed shots on target every single time are skills that must be maintained. You will train on long accurate shots and learn reloading and firing from uncomfortable positions. Law enforcement classes cover not only qualification on your service firearms, it gives you the chance to learn multiple weapons and their characteristics, in the case you come across them in the course of your work day.

For those looking to expand on the tactical side of shooting, I can set up a training session that will have you breathing heavy, putting rounds on target at multiple distances, and firing from a variety of positions.

Military

As a veteran I understand the need for trigger time, and that depending on your unit, you either get it or you don't. Nonetheless you must qualify and be proficient with your service rifle or pistol. The fundamentals of marksmanship are the key to your proficiency and while your basic training touched on this, most people feel like they were rushed and some do not learn as well in large groups. In most cases promotion partially rides on the fact that you perform well at the range, and with this course you will be sure to have the skills necessary to do well on your next range day.

For those looking to expand on the tactical side of shooting, I can set up a training session that will have you breathing heavy, putting rounds on target at multiple distances, and firing from a variety of positions.

Try it before you Buy It

If you are new to handguns, rifles, or shotguns and would like to give a particular type a try before investing in a new firearm, I have a wide selection of firearms that you can use for training. Purchasing a firearm can be a great investment, but no matter how many articles you read or how much you handle it at the local shop, you can never be sure how happy you will be with it, until you fire.
